Dr. Robert Balsters II, Assistant Superintendent, Topeka - Seaman High School
The Atlas Coop was beneficial because it allowed us to purchase the field we felt was the best for our situation. By using cooperative purchasing, we were able to eliminate the possibility of a competing, and in our opinion inferior, field product having to be selected due to a situational low bid requirement. Atlas was very satisfactory. When the problems with the number fond and red color were discovered, Atlas did not hesitate to work with us to ensure that our product was identical to our contracted product. I would recommend the Atlas Cooperative Purchasing process to other schools who determine that the FieldTurf product is their product of choice. The Atlas Coop process allows schools to follow their state’s bid law and purchase a superior field product.

Our turf project worked out really well. Atlas Coop process is a vehicle that has great advantages and used in the right situation it is the only way to go. It is more timely than the standard bid process and it allows for established known contractors to be used and known pricing. I would recommend the Atlas Coop process to other New Mexico schools who are interested in purchasing a FieldTurf field. Atlas Coop fills a gap that cannot be filled by the standard competitive bid process in terms of timing and having a known contractor/product – FieldTurf.

Using FieldTurf and the NJPA cooperative purchasing process was a great option for the Osseo Area School District. We were pleased when we found out that FieldTurf was available through NJPA. We were very happy with how it worked out using NJPA to purchase our synthetic field. We appreciated the idea of ‘cutting to the chase’ with pricing and options through the NJPA process. We were able to get the turf we wanted at a price that was in our budget.
